How to Be a Successful Magical Pet - Chapter 18
This absolutely wasn’t a kiss, it was just training… So why did he still feel awkward? Ye Chi touched his thumping heart, deeply suspecting that his blood pressure was now over 200.
This was the sorrow of being a virgin!
It felt like there was still a little bit of warmth on his lips, so he wanted to raise his hand to wipe it off, but facing Winchester’s bright eyes, he felt that this wasn’t very kind. The more he couldn’t wipe it off, the more concerned he became. Ye Chi subconsciously licked the place where he felt this sensation the most; making sure that there was no real warmth or pressure on his lips.
Winchester saw his little gesture and took the initiative to wipe his lips with his thumb, and advised, “Don’t be nervous, concentrate on unlocking your innate ability.”
This voice wasn’t too high, but for the virgin Ye Chi who was in a trance, it was even more terrifying than being caught by his boss while playing an online game at work. His heartbeat rate instantly rose to a new level. He tried his best to take his eyes off those pale thin lips and was a bit speechless when he said, “Wait, I’ll try…”
He observed his own meridians according to the internal vision method in the borrowing technique, and sure enough he found a special aura hovering in his chest that didn’t belong to him. The aura was very thin, but the magic power contained in it was grand and oppressive, just like the feeling Winchester’s eyes gave off.
He tried to push the aura into his veins, adjusting the energy in his body to match this external force. While the two energies blended together, he also felt a change in his body – his belt seemed to be getting thinner and thinner, so tight that he almost couldn’t breathe.
This change only lasted for a few seconds, and Ye Chi who was sitting on the ground had completely transformed into Winchester. Except for his face, which was a little red, his facial features and figure were exactly the same, even the original who was standing next to him couldn’t pick out any flaws.
Winchester watched this change with great interest and kept encouraging him, “Well done, next try reverting to the form of a dragon, then try using the dragon breath, or I’ll teach you dragon language magic.”
Ye Chi had already fully integrated that power, and his body felt as if he was a real dragon. He didn’t need to imagine a form as when he shapeshifted, his muscles and bones began to change naturally. The overly tight belt was the first to break, and his abdomen underneath began to expand into a round shape; his hands turned into thick claws covered with scales; his nose protruded into a sharp dragon’s snout; and his neck gradually lengthened and curved into an arc in the air…
After his body became bigger, even the world in front of his eyes changed, and there seemed to be a majestic power in his chest that needed to be expressed. Ye Chi raised his long neck proudly, took a breath of the chilly air, spread his wings and flew into the air, hissing at the blue sky while exhaling a stream of hot dragon breath.
Winchester, who was originally looking at Ye Chi sitting on the ground, stepped back and raised his head to look up at his dazzling new form.
Ye Chi flapped his wings a few times and hovered above the forest. His eyes swept across the vast sea of trees, looking at the academy, the distant city, and the wider world hidden beyond the horizon. He looked greedily at this world full of life, but he didn’t notice that the energy in his body was changing.
The dragon’s aura had been exhausted.
The huge silver-white dragon body rapidly shrunk in the air, turning into a naked human and falling to the ground. Thanks to the fact that his weight was still the same as when he was a panda, while his body surface area had increased a lot due to his transformation into a human. His body density was extremely small, and coupled with the effect of wind in the air; the speed of his fall was much slower than expected.
However, the shame of looking like this was too great and completely unacceptable! After Ye Chi reacted, he immediately changed his body back to its original shape, and glided in the air with his limbs spread out like a flying squirrel.
Perhaps he had imagined the flying membrane of a flying squirrel perfectly when he was transforming. And a smooth membrane covered with short hairs instantly grew between his short front and back limbs as he glided forward through the cold wind of the air.
The sensation of gliding through the air was even more wonderful and intense than before when he turned into a dragon. At that time, he was a complete replica of Winchester’s body and skills. Flying was like an instinct and didn’t need any special control. He just enjoyed the feeling of being in the air. But now, he relied entirely on his eyes and brain to grasp the balance, control the direction of his flight, using the wind to glide towards his goal.
He lowered his head, spread the wing membranes in front of his fore and hind limbs as much as possible, and circled down again and again in the open space. When he finally touched the ground, he shrank his body, rolled a few times to absorb the momentum, and landed safely on the soft grass.
It worked!
Ye Chi was knocked out to the point that stars appears before his eyes. His skull hurt, but he couldn’t stop the excitement in his heart. He said loudly, “I can fly! Just now I was able to fly without using your power. My shapeshifting level has improved again…..”
He was so excited that he spoke incoherently. He managed to stand up on his two hind legs, and danced for a while with his upper limbs and membranes clapping. In the midst of his excitement, his mind suddenly flashed back to the image of himself transforming from a dragon to a human, and a sense of shame washed over him. And although the corners of his mouth still seemed to be smiling, his entire body froze.
Seeing that he suddenly sat down on the ground in the middle of jumping, Winchester felt that the situation wasn’t quite right, so he picked him up and put him in his arms, rubbed his chin against the little head half buried in his arms, and asked jokingly, “How does it feel to be a dragon? Do you want to inhale some more of my breath and practice your flying and landing skills?”
Forget it. He didn’t want to lose face again…
Ye Chi couldn’t help but bury his head in Winchester’s arms, and pressed a paw deeply between his eyes. He felt that he had lost his face for several lifetimes at that moment. He didn’t know how many magical beasts on this mountain saw him floating down like a big balloon without a single inch of clothing.
Then maybe one of them can talk like Abel and has human-like intelligence and will start to gossip with the other beasts about him…
He buried his face deeper into Winchester’s arms and strongly demanded to go back and continue to memorize words, practice listening, and read long and difficult sentences… Even if he had to memorize those books that he couldn’t understand, he just wanted to leave this land where he had just become a laughing stock.
The gentle dragon who was holding him refused his request and lifted a forepaw covered in crushed grass leaves and dirt in front of him, “You’re too dirty from the ground just now, at least take a bath before you go back to study.”
There was no refusing this matter. Winchester went straight to the bathroom with the little panda in his arms, used his magic to boil a pool of hot water. And then he sat on his knees outside the bathtub, his left hand holding Ye Chi’s neck and buttocks like a baby, and immersed his body in the water.
Ye Chi didn’t know if pandas were afraid of water or not, but he knew he wasn’t, especially when being held in someone’s palm and only being immersed in water from the neck down, which was more comfortable than any Jacuzzi.
In this half-lying position, his palms were dipped in water and he first wiped his neck and face, and then slowly rubbed the top of his round head, soaking the exposed parts of his body. His thick fur didn’t stick to his body when it got wet, but stood up again after a little wiping. The dirt and broken leaves were brushed into the water, revealing the wet and bright fur color.
Winchester also prepared soap, rubbed it into foam in the water, brushed it on the soft little belly first, and then rubbed it in a circular motion up the neck.
The belly of a panda was very sensitive. Although his body wasn’t wiped by hand but with slippery soap, and the way of rubbing wasn’t technical at all, Ye Chi’s body still softened shamefully, and a low “gurgling” sound came out from his throat. He squinted his eyes slightly, clearly enjoying this warm water spa.
His expression of enjoyment was extremely adorable that Winchester chuckled a few times, threw the soap to the edge of the bathtub, wiped his hands full of foam and scrubbed the little panda’s smiling face.
He didn’t expect Ye Chi to like taking baths so much. He wasn’t afraid of the soap bubbles that would irritate his eyes. He even knew to actively close his eyes and mouth when Winchester washed his face. And when he washed his back, the toy-like quiet little panda took the initiative to hug his arm, lying motionless in the water with all four legs, with a look of laziness on his face as if he was about to fall asleep.
As a result, the bath became more and more meticulous under the cooperation of the two of them, and even the armpits and the inside of the tail were rubbed several times. When Ye Chi came out of the water, his originally fluffy fur was already completely stuck to his body. He wasn’t a real animal and wasn’t used to shaking his body to dry himself off. So he was blown by the wind outside the bathtub, and his whole body was shivering from the cold.
Winchester wrapped him in a clean cloth towel and started drying off his body, then went to the breeding center to get a large basin of milk and fruit as a reward for his cooperation with the bath.
Even in the water-loving dragon race, it wasn’t so easy to bathe a cub. But this little one that he raised on his own was really surprisingly well-behaved. Winchester lowered his eyes and looked at the magical pet in his arms; the corners of his mouth rose slightly as he stroked the soft and bright fur. Then he gave him an additional lesson on the history and customs of the dragon race.
Under Winchester’s attentive teaching, Ye Chi’s proficiency in Continental Common Language and Dragon Language had made great progress. If the level of being able to cope with daily communication and his studies was set at the sixth grade, his Continental Common Language had already been able to surpass the eighth grade, and his Dragon Language had also reached the level of a junior high school graduate.
But his progress in magic wasn’t so satisfactory. When he entered meditation, he still couldn’t feel the existence of any elements. He could only absorb the essence of the sun and the moon, or the light emanating from Winchester’s body. The soft white ball of light in his dantian was becoming more and more solid, but he was still unable to release even the lowest level of magic.
Throughout the winter, Ye Chi only learned one kind of magic – the dragon language magic that he naturally mastered after borrowing Winchester’s essence.
Now his understanding of the dragon race, or rather Winchester’s body, had already reached a subtle level. Even without using the borrowing technique, he was able to perfectly simulate the shape of a dragon body, and was even able to proportionally shrink it by hundreds of times, transforming it into a crystal dragon body that was about the same size as his original form.
Out of a little mischief, when he returned to live at the cub breeding center, he would often transform into a miniature version of the silver dragon, put on an intricate lace dress and admire himself, pretending that he was looking at Winchester in a dress.
At the end of the winter semester, the students brought their magical pets home for vacation. A carriage and servants from the Raoul family came to greet them, and Evan’s grounding order was lifted. So he went with his classmates to the breeding center to pick up his magical pet.
However, he didn’t see his pet in the magical pet room. Instead of the little black and white furball standing in the cubicle, there was a young silver dragon wearing a short low-cut dress with layers of floral lace, with the zipper wide open at the back and a pair of small wings squeezing out from the zipper slit.
There was no way that his magical pet… changed species again… right?
