Seven Days Escape Game - Chapter 14
Out of eleven people, four raised their hands.
Gu Meng unconsciously squeezed En Jin’s hand.
Bo Ye leaned against the door frame and said lazily, “What are you going to do if it’s not him?”
A flash of guilt flitted across Wang Kele’s face and he said as put up with the atmosphere, “There’s a high possibility that it’s him, he’s the only one acting the most abnormal. If it’s really not him……It’s for the sake of the majority. Inevitably, someone had to be sacrificed. Weren’t the previous five sacrificed?”
Tang Zhi looked at him calmly with clear eyes without any ripples, “Since someone has to be sacrificed, why don’t you sacrifice yourself?”
Wang Kele averted his gaze and was unhappy, “I am not a male teacher! Such a sacrifice is meaningless.”
Gu Meng composed himself and said coldly, “En Jin also has no reason to do a meaningless sacrifice.”
“Don’t waste your time!” Chen Liangzhi pulled out a chair and sat down. He said impatiently, “Since the majority suspect him, then let’s try it. The entire team will have a higher chance of survival. Perhaps if we offer the nameless one, the game will end this morning.”
Gu Meng tsked blatantly, he was almost unable to suppress his rage, “He’s called En Jin, he has a name.”
Zhang Guoqiang was unable to put up with it any longer and spat, “Chen Liangzhi! You still have the nerve to talk about the team, I think you’re doing it for yourself!”
In the midst of the chaotic argument, a soft-spoken voice sounded, “I also received a text message……but……but it’s not really good if you target En Jin like this.”
Everyone looked at Qin Jingjing with different expressions on their faces, which were very much rich.
Bo Ye stood upright, he was interested, “What text message?”
His gaze glided over several people in turn, all of whom dodged their eyes. No one replied.
“You’re the only one who would ruin things!” Yu Mengmeng pushed Qin Jingjing in agitation and said viciously, “You will be the next one if you continue to speak out of turn!”
Qin Jingjing fell on Zhang Qingfang’s bed, only to feel that she was sitting on a pile of minced meat and the back of her skirt was immediately moistened with cold blood.
The young girl was stunned for two seconds before she started crying in fear.
“Yu Mengmeng, what are you doing!” Shui Xing pulled Qin Jingjing up and commented sarcastically, “Don’t rely on your mental problems and go crazy as you wish.”
Yu Mengmeng was extremely angry and was about to pounce on her and choke her when the sound of heels echoed in the hallway outside.
Not long after, Xiaoyu stood at the door of the dorm room and faced the people in the room with a radiant face, “Everybody is up early today and all of you appear to be quite energetic.”
The initial atmosphere from the fervent quarrel in the dorm room dropped to a freezing point. Everyone consciously stepped aside, forming a pathway, looking at the woman warily.
Xiaoyu walked into the room, one step at a time and saw the corpse on the bed. She smiled in satisfaction, “This is not the time to have a tea party. Please go to the canteen to eat, the canteen chef made delicious meat patties this morning.”
Everyone glanced at the quilt dripping with blood, they didn’t really want to eat delicious meat patties at the moment.
Xiaoyu ignored the gazes of others and went straight forward to lift the quilt covering the corpse.
Knowing that she was about to take care of the body, Zhang Guoqiang spat an obscenity. He quickly turned around and walked out of the dorm room.
The others also followed in succession.
“Chun Zi is with you……”
Many people heard Xiaoyu say this amidst the sound of sticking chewing that made their scalps tingle.
Gu Meng was lagging behind and he couldn’t help but glance back before he left the dorm room.
The woman stood by the bed, grasping a handful of blood-red pieces of meat and her mouth stuffed until it bulged. Her rosy pale face was covered in blood.
Perhaps she felt his gaze, Xiaoyu suddenly turned her head and met his gaze. She slowly drew back the corners of her mouth, grinning. In her mouth, there were actually the sharp teeth of animals with blood and meat scraps stuck to them.
She said, “She will always be watching you.”
Gu Meng felt a chill from the bottom of his heart and felt his blood run cold. Suddenly, a large warm hand fell over his eyes, obstructing his line of sight.
A soft and crisp male voice came from behind his ear, “Gu Meng, don’t be afraid.”
Throughout the morning, each of those had a load on their minds, maintaining a semblance of peace.
In the auditorium, Yu Mengmeng’s line of sight always intentionally or otherwise drifted towards En Jin, with a deep disgust hidden in her eyes.
After Gu Meng noticed, she rolled her eyes. This woman was simply unreasonable.
He kicked the bucket by his foot and said to En Jin, “Go and get a new bucket of water.”
Without saying a word, En Jin rolled up his sleeves and headed backstage with a bucket in his hand.
The bucket had some weight but En Jin looked very relaxed when he carried it. His strong and slender forearms were smooth with veins lying above, which gave it a sense of power.
Gu Meng studied from his forearm to his rear view. The slim fit of the Western-style uniform outlined the man’s body: broad back, narrow waist, longs legs — perfection proportions. It was too good to be true.
It wasn’t until his back disappeared at the backstage area that Gu Meng retracted his gaze, secretly feeling envious in the depths of his heart.
After a while, chaotic arguing came from the side of the stage.
“D*mn, watch where you’re going!”
Chen Liangzhi swore.
Gu Meng had a bad feeling, he quickly stopped what he was doing and went backstage.
When he got there, he saw a man approximately 1.9 metres, standing close to the corner of the wall. The bucket was still rolling by his feet and the water spilt all over the floor.
People jumped onto the stage one after another and saw this inexplicable conflict.
Cheng Liangzhi stood in front of En Jin, his stature was slightly shorter, so he had to stretch his neck to look up at him. He held up his hand with a wet cuff and looked intimidating, “The road is so spacious but you just had to bump into me, huh?!”
En Jin’s face was expressionless, he stood in place without moving. Only when he saw Gu Meng in the crowd did his eyes flashed a tinge of helplessness.
Like a cub seeking for help.
Chen Liangzhi scolded him non-stop, “You’re not f**king trying to kill me, are you!”
The rage in Gu Meng’s heart immediately rose.
He strode forward, grabbed Chen Liangzhi’s back collar and threw him aside. He opened his mouth, wanting to say something but he seemed to have some misgivings and then he swallowed what he wanted to say.
Gu Meng looked at En Jin and said, “Come down.”
En Jin didn’t ask anything and lowered his head obediently.
Gu Meng raised his hand to cover the man’s ears, he turned his head and glared at Chen Liangzhi, who just stood firmly in place. His delicate and gentle face was seldom exhibited his ferociousness, “Watch your f**king mouth. Don’t think I don’t know who you’re targeting explicitly and implicitly. Do you really think En Jin is such a pushover? You really think I have a good temper, right? You grumble over getting bumped into, are you a sissy or being paranoid? Next time you dare to say a dirty word, try it! F**k you! Can you be dirtier than me?!”
The atmosphere was suddenly quiet and everyone looked dumbfounded.
Some people usually have a good temperament but they really frightened people once they got angry.
“As a kindergarten teacher, is it really all right for Teacher Gu to be like this?” Qin Jingjing sighed softly, “But he’s so handsome.”
“Didn’t you see him covering the child’s ears?” Bo Ye chuckled lightly and continued from Qin Jingjing’s words, “Be gentle to children and don’t be so polite to scums.”
Chen Liangzhi turned red and was so angry that he spoke incoherently, “Why are you so protective of him? I think there’s also something wrong with you!”
Gu Meng put down his hand and lowered his head to check En Jin’s trousers, a bit of water had splashed on it.
He ignored Cheng Liangzhi and said as he minded his own business, “There’s no police and no laws, only the conscience of an individual can bring about constraints. If we decide the life and death of our own kind as we wish because he looks unpleasant then what’s the difference between us and that of a beast? I advise those people who raised their hands in the morning to use their brains, go by the rules and be rational.”
After saying that, he pulled En Jin away.
Zhang Guoqiang picked up the bucket on the floor once more, his voice was coarse and deep, “I stand with Teacher Gu this time.”
Cheng Liangzhi originally wanted to get En Jin into trouble and incite everyone to vote again but he didn’t think it would backfire on him — he got educated by Gu Meng.
He was embarrassed, he jumped off the stage first and cursed, “D**n Gu Meng! I will remember this. Let’s see who he can preach to when everyone’s dead. This place was originally an abnormal world, he’s the only one who wants to be the emissary of justice.”
Tang Zhi made eye contact with Bo Ye and said, “DO you want to go see En Jin?”
Bo Ye lead him along with a hand and walked down from the stairs at the side of the stage, “Don’t worry, Teacher Gu is there.”
Tang Zhi skipped down the stairs, “Bo Ye.”
“If we have children in the future, put them in Gu Meng’s class.”
Bo Ye stopped walking, turned back to look at him and chuckled lightly, “Have you been conquered by Teacher Gu?”
Tang Zhi bit his lower lip and smiled, he seized the opportunity to jump on the man’s back with gleaming eyes and put his arms around his neck.
He deliberately made his voice nasal and childish, “The main point is I want to have children with you.”
“……” Bo Ye’s expression changed again and again. He supported him under his knee and lifted them upwards, he endured silently, “If you want to flirt, do that at night!”
Gu Meng took En Jin to the lawn outside the auditorium.
It was almost noon, the sunshine was just right and was warm but not scalding when it shone on his body.
Gu Meng asked En Jin to sit on the lawn with his legs parted to dry his damp pants while he lay down on his side.
To be blown by a warm breeze, with the scent of sunlight and grass at the tip of his nose, Gu Meng squinted his eyes and sighed comfortably. He hadn’t basked in the sun for a long time.
Life in the city was fast-paced. Although the sun was always shining, no one would stop for a second for the grass, sunshine and breeze.
En Jin propped his hands behind his back, turned his face to look at Gu Meng next to him and also squinted his eyes because of the sun. He said, “Why was that person yelling at me?”
There was a dandelion swaying in the wind next to his head. Gu Meng picked it off by hand and placed it in front of him, “Some people are hostile, don’t worry about it.”
En Jin asked once more, “Gu Meng, what does ‘you f**king’ mean?”
Gu Meng sat up, it was a bit awkward, “It’s not a good word, so forget it when you hear it and you’re not allowed to talk to others in the future.”
En Jin nodded.
He looked at the small white thing in Gu Meng’s hand and was curious, “What is this?”
“This?” Gu Meng held the green stem up and turned it around, he moved closer to En Jin, “This is called Dandelion, isn’t it fluffy and cute?”
En Jin looked at the dandelion and then looked at Gu Meng once more before he said, “You are also fluffy.”
Gu Meng didn’t care about it and held the dandelion with a hand, the mood struck him, “I’ll teach you how to play.”
“First of all, take a breath.”
En Jin was seriously and took a full breath.
“Then, open your mouth……”
En Jin opened his mouth.
Before Gu Meng finished his words, En Jin couldn’t wait to put dandelion in his mouth.
This was a bit awkward.
The man kept his posture, his eyes were slightly raised and he looked at Gu Meng with trust, waiting for his next instruction.
Gu Meng came to his sense and quickly slapped the back of En Jin’s head, “What’s the hurry! Hurry up and spit it out!”
As a result, he carelessly used force, the green stem was pulled out and there was nothing left at the top.
En Jin sneezed and then sneezed once more.
A small, white fluffy dandelion floated out of his mouth and rode away in the wind under the warm sun.
Gu Meng made a ‘pfft’ sound and straight-up laughed in anger.
